Literally a pain in the neck

I have been suffering from an occipital neuralgia which is caused by inflammation of the occipital nerves stemming upward towards the brain from the neck. I had to have four nerve blocks into the nape of my neck and have been heavily medicated for about 2 weeks. Might have to finally see neurologist since migraines are getting worse as well. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried acupuncture to alleviate stress and pain. I am desperate!!! Can't afford anymore ER visits that yield absolutely no relief. I have tried to meditate, but it is really hard to do with a debilitating pain in my head constantly. I am on so much medication, I don't know if I am coming or going. Muscle relaxers, migraine meds, valium, narcotic pain relievers, nerve blocks........ When will it ever stop? Just needing some healing vibes and a shouler to cry on. Thanks for listening.

Help

Hi Lynn…
At the risk of sounding like a know-it-all, have you tried chiropractic? My husband says this is something he sees all the time in his practice. He also has an accupuncturist and i have seen her and she was great, but I did not see her for this type of problem.
Hugs and healing love!

positive and healing vibes coming your way Lynn. keep trying, somethings got to help eventualy! Hope you feel better soon.
ooh that is so hard. I find massage and acupressure have been a tremendous boon to me. There is so much wisdom in thousands of years of Eastern study on the points in the body and how they relate to other parts of the body. It's amazing really. I wish you full healing in whatever means are available to you.
